Gilberto Piedrahita

Gilberto Piedrahita is an experienced education professional currently serving as Chief of Schools Network 8 at Chicago Public Schools since July 2011. Previously held positions include Deputy Chief of Schools, School Principal, and Assistant Principal within the same organization, contributing significantly to school leadership and program implementation. Gilberto began a teaching career as a bilingual classroom teacher, later focusing on eighth-grade science. Prior to entering the education field, Gilberto practiced as a General Dentist from February 1989 to October 1997. Academic qualifications include a Master of Education in Public Administration from National Louis University and a Bachelor's degree in Dentistry from St. Martin University Bogota, Colombia.
