Kori Bowns-Kamphuis is an experienced educator with a strong background in physics and science education. Currently serving as a Physics Teacher at Chicago Public Schools, Kori teaches honors 9th grade physics and develops an aerospace engineering curriculum. In addition, Kori holds the position of STEP UP Regional Coordinator with the American Physical Society, managing initiatives to increase female participation in physics and training high school teachers. Previous teaching roles include a Science Teacher at Argo Community High School and a Science & Engineering Teacher at Saint Patrick High School, where Kori focused on student-centered learning and STEAM program development. Kori's educational background includes a Master of Science in Education and a Bachelor of Science in Physics Education, both from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
