Lisa Bracker

Lisa Bracker currently serves as a National Language and Literacy Consultant at Vista Higher Learning, a position held since January 2023. Prior to this role, Lisa worked for Chicago Public Schools from November 2007 to January 2023 as a Diverse Learner Specialist, where educational programs for students with learning disabilities were led in a multiple dual-language school. Responsibilities included planning curriculum across various subjects, including language arts and social-emotional learning. Earlier experience includes working as a Special Education Teacher at Jefferson Elementary within Elmhurst Public School District 205 from June 2005 to June 2007, focusing on community partnerships and advocating for youth with disabilities. Lisa holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and another Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from the American College of Education, along with a Bachelor's degree in Special Education and Teaching from Illinois State University.
