Lorenzo Russell is an experienced educational leader with a career spanning over two decades within the Chicago Public Schools system. Currently serving as Deputy Chief of Schools since July 2007, Lorenzo has previously held the position of Principal. Prior to this, Lorenzo contributed to the field of education as an Assistant Principal in Chicago and as an adjunct professor at Concordia University, as well as an adjunct instructor at City Colleges of Chicago. Lorenzo began a career in education as a K-8 teacher at Chicago Public Schools, where work extended from 1998 to 2003. Lorenzo holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, obtained between 1994 and 1998.
