Shreya Baxi

Shreya Baxi is an experienced educational leader with a strong background in school administration and teaching. Currently serving as Assistant Principal at Chicago Public Schools since May 2022, Baxi previously held the same position at Great Lakes Academy Charter School. Baxi's educational journey includes earning a Master's degree in School Leadership from Harvard University, and a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education from Dominican University. Baxi's earlier roles included Dean of Students at Chicago Collegiate Charter School, where significant systems and cultural initiatives were developed, and a First Grade Teacher at KIPP Chicago with notable improvements in student reading scores. Baxi has also contributed to the Teach for America program, serving as a recruitment associate and corps member, and has experience in editorial roles with publications such as People Magazine and Emap.
