Jake S. Friedman

Jake S. Friedman is an accomplished educator and author with extensive experience in the field of animation history. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at the Rhode Island School of Design and at both New York University and the Fashion Institute of Technology, Jake teaches courses focused on the history of animation. As an author, Jake has written significant works such as "The Disney Revolt: The Great Labor War of Animation's Golden Age" and "The Disney Afternoon: A Television Renaissance," set for release in September 2024. With a robust freelance writing career, Jake has contributed over 50 articles on history, social justice, and animation to various national publications. Jake's background also includes roles as a storyboard revisionist at Blue Sky Studios and animator at Transcendent Endeavors, along with a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Mercy University.
