Tara Nurin

First-prize Winning Book Author at Chicago Review Press

Tara Nurin is an accomplished Executive Director of the Transcending Trauma Program, focusing on healing and prevention of sexual harassment in the alcoholic beverage industry. As an author, Tara's book "A Woman's Place is in the Brewhouse" chronicles the history of women in beer. In addition to writing, Tara serves as an adjunct instructor at Wilmington University, teaching courses related to beer and spirits. With extensive experience as a public speaker, Tara covers various topics including diversity, equity, and inclusion. Previously, as the Director of Storytelling at Craft Beverage Consultants, Tara enhanced visibility for craft beverage producers. Other ventures include co-founding Ferment Your Event and hosting the Craft Beverage Expo and Distribution Conference. Tara holds a master's degree in broadcast journalism from Northwestern University and a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Tufts University.
