Joshua Blomgren

Joshua Blomgren, DO, is an experienced sports medicine physician currently serving as the Head Team Physician at Benedictine University, overseeing the health of the BU Eagles. Since February 2023, Joshua has also held the role of Chief Medical Officer and Head Team Physician for the Chicago Red Stars, while maintaining a longstanding position as a Sports Medicine Physician at Midwest Orthopaedics at RUSH since 2010. Joshua's previous experience includes serving in similar roles for the Chicago Fire FC and completing a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at Rush University Medical Center. Joshua began their medical career as a Family Practice Resident at Resurrection Health Care. Joshua holds a Doctor of Osteopathy degree from Midwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Benedictine University.
