Vanessa Dibernardo

Vanessa DiBernardo is a professional soccer player for the Chicago Red Stars, where Vanessa has played since March 2014 and achieved recognition as an NWSL Semifinalist in 2015. That same year, Vanessa received the Chicago Red Stars Unsung Hero Award and led the team in assists, finishing tied for second in the NWSL. Prior to their professional career, Vanessa was a standout central midfielder for the U-20 U.S. Women's National Team, contributing to the team’s victory as World Cup Champions in 2012 by starting every game in the tournament and scoring a key goal in the quarterfinals. Vanessa holds a Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Sport, and Tourism with a focus on Sport Management from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, completed in 2014.
