Alina Nelson is a photographer with extensive experience in sports photography, currently working at Visual Image Photography and serving as the team photographer for Chicago Steel and Kenosha Kingfish Baseball Club. Previous roles include photographer for Chicago Union and OC Riptide, where responsibilities involved game photography and content collaboration for social media. Alina also gained experience as a sports photojournalist at Cronkite News, capturing visuals for Arizona sports at various levels, and as a student journalist for AZPreps365. Alina's early involvement with Gurnee Youth Baseball included organizing events and managing concessions. Alina holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Journalism from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University.

Chicago Steel (USHL)
The Chicago Steel are in their 23rd season in the United States Hockey League (USHL). The organization has been lauded for its on-ice accomplishments and focus on affordable family entertainment since it moved to Geneva, IL in 2015. Over the past seven (7) seasons, the Chicago Steel are the winningest franchise in the sixteen (16) team United States Hockey League. During that time, the Chicago Steel have earned: • Two (2) Clark Cup Championships • Two (2) Regular Season Titles (Anderson Cup) • Three (3) Conference Championships In each of the past two seasons, the Chicago Steel has produced the most NHL Draft picks of any independent team in the world. This includes former defenseman Owen Power who was selected by the Buffalo Sabres with the #1 overall pick in the 2021 draft. Since the inaugural 2000-2001 season, after playing with the Steel, 303 Steel players have advanced to NCAA Division I teams, 45 have been selected in the NHL Draft and 22 have played in the NHL. Steel players are recruited from across the country and internationally. They live with host families during their time in Chicago and the team assists each player in education options while with the team. Education and development as players/individuals are keys to their success. Steel players and coaches pride themselves in being active members of the community and frequently visit local schools and non-profit organizations.
