Kaitlyn Jakola

Kaitlyn Jakola is an accomplished journalism professional with a diverse background in editorial leadership and digital strategy. Currently serving as the Editorial Director of Strategy and Operations at the Chicago Sun-Times since April 2023, Kaitlyn previously held the position of Managing Editor at The Trace from January 2021 to March 2023, where leadership involved developing engagement strategies and launching community projects. Kaitlyn's experience also includes roles such as Adjunct Instructor at New York University, Managing Editor at Gizmodo, and overseeing the fellowship program at Insider Inc.
