Administrator Of New Teacher Development at Chicago Teachers Union

Tara Stamps serves as the Administrator of New Teacher Development at the Chicago Teachers Union since December 2020. Previously, Tara Stamps worked with Chicago Public Schools from April 2004 to February 2022, holding positions as an Instructional STEM Coach and a Middle School ELA Teacher. As an Instructional STEM Coach, responsibilities included conducting informal observations and providing feedback, leading to enhanced teacher performance. As a Middle School ELA Teacher, Tara Stamps successfully implemented rigorous instruction, resulting in significant student growth in reading. Earlier experience includes teaching Middle Grade Language Arts from September 1996 to June 2002, focusing on standards-based instruction and improving student achievement. Tara Stamps holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education, a Master’s degree in Educational, Instructional, and Curriculum Supervision from Concordia University Chicago, and a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Central State University.
