Matthew Beal

Matthew Beal is an accomplished financial professional with extensive experience in quantitative trading and research. Currently serving as the Head of Microstructure, Head of Option Delta Trading, and Partner at Chicago Trading Company since February 2018, Beal previously held roles including Quant Trader and Quantitative Researcher at Citadel Securities from January 2007 to June 2014. Prior to that, Beal worked at KCG Holdings, Inc. during its acquisition by Virtu, and began an academic career as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at State University of New York at Buffalo, alongside a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Toronto. Beal's academic foundation includes a PhD in Computational Neuroscience from UCL and a BA MA MSci in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, complemented by early research internships at Microsoft focused on machine learning and statistics.
