Julia Poe

Julia Poe has a diverse work experience in the field of sports journalism. Julia most recently worked as a Chicago Bulls Beat Writer for the Chicago Tribune Media Group starting in November 2021. Prior to that, they served as a Soccer Beat Writer for the Orlando Sentinel from July 2019 until November 2021. Julia also worked as a Freelance Writer for Pro Soccer USA from February 2018 to May 2019, and as an Intern for Sports Illustrated from May 2018 to August 2018. Additionally, they held editorial positions at The Daily Trojan, where they were the Sports Editor from January 2017 to January 2018 and the Features Editor from January 2016 to December 2016. Julia gained valuable experience as a Sports Intern at the Philadelphia Inquirer from May 2017 to August 2017, covering various professional teams including the Phillies and the Eagles. Julia also completed an internship with USA TODAY NETWORK from May 2016 to August 2016. Julia began their career as the Online Editor in Chief for The Harbinger, where they managed daily online content, won multiple awards, and expanded the publication's digital presence from May 2013 to May 2015.

Julia Poe attended Shawnee Mission East High School from 2010 to 2015, where they completed their high school education. Following that, they earned their Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from the University of Southern California from 2015 to 2019.
