Kristen McQueary is an accomplished journalist and editorial leader with extensive experience in the media industry. Currently serving as Vice President at Res Publica Group since October 2021, Kristen has been with the Chicago Tribune since March 2012, holding the roles of Editorial Page Editor and Editorial Board Member, where responsibilities include suggesting topics, writing opinion pieces, and guiding the newspaper's endorsement process during elections. Prior to this, Kristen worked as a Statehouse reporter for Chicago Public Media/WBEZ and Chicago News Cooperative, and as a Political Columnist for SouthtownStar/Sun-Times News Group. Additional experience includes serving as a Metro reporter for Peoria Journal Star and working on the copy desk for The Pantagraph. Kristen holds a Master's degree in Public Affairs Reporting from the University of Illinois Springfield and a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Illinois State University.
