Shenita Johnson is the Chief Experience Officer at ElevatEd Spaces, LLC, where responsibilities include curating learning experiences to enhance education for students and families. Concurrently, Shenita serves as a Guardian Ad Litem/Child Representative for Chicago Volunteer Legal Services, a Leadership Campus Facilitator for The Holdsworth Center, and an Executive in Residence/Graduate Teaching Assistant at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. Previously, Shenita held various leadership roles within the Illinois State Charter School Commission, including Executive Director and General Counsel, managing operations and guiding education policy for over 4,000 students. Experience also includes serving as an Assistant State's Attorney for the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office and multiple roles in education law and consulting. Shenita holds an Executive MBA from Northwestern University, a Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law, a Master of Public Administration from Baruch College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Howard University.
