Diane Foote

Diane Foote currently serves on the Board of Directors for both the Chicago Yacht Club and the Chicago Yacht Club Foundation, the latter focusing on providing boating experiences to youth from underrepresented communities in Chicagoland. Previously, Diane held the position of Executive Director at the Illinois Library Association, leading a 3,000-member organization and overseeing various programs, including legislative advocacy and continuing education. In earlier roles, Diane was Curator at the Butler Children's Literature Center at Dominican University, managing collections and professional development programs, and held significant leadership positions at the American Library Association and Holiday House Publishing, Inc., demonstrating expertise in marketing and advocacy within the library and publishing sectors. Diane holds a BA in International Relations and French from Colgate University and a Master of Science in Library & Information Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
