Erean Mei

Erean Mei currently serves as the Education, Learning & Training Manager at Chicago Youth Centers since July 2024 and as a Registry Trainer for Gateways to Opportunity- Illinois Professional Development System since October 2023. Prior to these roles, Erean Mei was an Elementary School Teacher at KIPP Chicago from August 2017 to June 2024, and a Head Start Teacher at Chicago Youth Centers: Sidney Epstein Center from September 2013 to July 2017. Additional experience includes serving as Co Director at Kidz Drop In from August 2011 to October 2012, and as a Long Term Substitute Teacher at Kendall County Special Education Co-op from October 2010 to June 2012. Erean Mei holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Instructional Leadership with a specialization in Early Childhood Education and Special Education Endorsement from the University of Illinois Chicago, an English as a Second Language Endorsement from Roosevelt University, and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology with a Minor in History from Northern Illinois University.
