Richard McDevitt

Richard McDevitt has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Lead Pilot and Standardization Evaluator at Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron THREE (VQ-3) from July 2006 to November 2009. Richard then moved on to become a Department Head and Flight Instructor at Training Squadron THIRTY-ONE (VT-31) from November 2009 to May 2016. Following that, they served as the Analytics Branch Chief in the Office of Inclusion and Diversity at Chief of Naval Personnel from May 2016 to December 2018. Afterward, they worked as the Staff Director and Deputy Division Director in the Reserve Integration Office at the Defense Intelligence Agency from December 2018 to October 2021. Richard then took on the role of Deputy Regional Program Director at Navy Wounded Warriors from October 2021 to June 2023. Most recently, they are serving as the Operations Lead at Chick-fil-A Corporate Support Center, starting in July 2023.

Richard McDevitt completed their Bachelor of Science degree in History from the United States Naval Academy in 2003. Richard then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Naval Postgraduate School, which is expected to be completed in 2021. In 2012, they completed the Joint Professional Military Education Phase 1 from the Marine Corps War College. Prior to that, Richard obtained their High School Diploma from Christian Brothers Academy - Albany in 1999. Currently, they are working towards obtaining a Principles of Analytical Management Certificate from the Naval Postgraduate School, expected to be completed in 2023.

Richard also holds additional certifications including an Airline Transport Pilot certification from the Federal Aviation Administration, a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from the Star 6 Sigma Global Academy, a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, and a TS/SCI Security Clearance from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM).
