Leigh Townes has a diverse work experience in the field of corporate governance and board leadership. Starting in 2011, they worked at Corporate Board Member, an NYSE Euronext Company, in various roles including Business Development Representative, Research Assistant, and Marketing and Events Intern. In 2012, Leigh joined NYSE Governance Services, where they worked as a Membership Account Manager and later as a Manager, Board Solutions, leading strategic initiatives and launching a knowledge-sharing platform called FORGE. Since 2017, Leigh has been working at Chief Executive Group as the Director of the Corporate Board Member Institute and the Director of Digital Products.

Leigh Townes obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a focus on Marketing and International Business, from The University of Tennessee between 2007 and 2011. Additionally, they received a certification in Product Strategy from Kellogg Executive Education in 2022.
