Katie Cooper is an experienced executive with a strong background in transportation and airport management. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Metro Tasmania Pty Ltd since October 2020, Katie leads the largest Tasmanian-owned passenger transport provider. Additionally, as the Inaugural Chair of the Tasmanian Chapter of Chief Executive Women and a Director at the Public Transport Association Australia New Zealand, Katie contributes to strategic governance in the public transport sector. Previously, Katie held various leadership roles at Melbourne Airport, including Head of Transformation and Head of Aviation Operations, and managed operations at multiple airports, enhancing customer experience and operational efficiency. Katie's education includes an MBA from Deakin University, a Postgraduate Certificate in Air Transport Management from Swinburne University, and executive education from Harvard Business School.
