Taryn Coles has a diverse work experience. Taryn currently serves as the Assistant Director at Chihuly Garden and Glass since 2022. Prior to that, they were the Director of Development at Albers School of Business and Economics at Seattle University from 2013 to 2022. Taryn also served as the Director of Regional Development at Marquette University from 2009 to 2013. From 2006 to 2008, Taryn was the Director of Development at Pratt Fine Arts Center. Before that, they worked at Pilchuck Glass School as the Special Events, Annual Fund, and Major Gifts Manager. Additionally, they have experience as an Assistant Director at Montana Museum of Arts and Culture and in Advance for Michael Coles' US Senate campaign in 1998.

Taryn Coles earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Visual Art from the University of Montana. Later, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Museology from the University of Washington, completing it between 2000 and 2002.
