Kathryn Lofton possesses extensive experience as a business manager and entrepreneur, currently serving as the Business Manager and Owner of FOLDEMS Packets since June 2020, where innovative single-use packets are created for various industries. As a Guardian Ad Litem for Child Advocates, Inc. since January 2020, Kathryn advocates for abused children navigating the legal system. Kathryn is a Founding Partner at JAN Resources, LLC, a company specializing in completion chemicals for the oilfield service industry since 2012. Previous roles include fundraising chair and board secretary at The Periwinkle Foundation from 1994 to 2018, owning GuarCo, L.L.C. from 2012 to 2014, and serving as Director of Sales and Business Development at Private Business Development from 2009 to 2012. Kathryn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biophysics from the University of Houston.

Child Advocates is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit agency that offers programs and services for children and youth statewide through a race equity lens. We serve children and youth who have experienced abuse and neglect, and we advocate for racial equity in the child welfare system and in our communities to help build a better future for all children. We fulfill our mission through four key programs: Interrupting Racism for Children, Mediation, Direct Representation, and through the child advocacy expertise of our attorneys.
