Monay Cavazos is a dedicated social work professional with extensive experience in child welfare and youth advocacy. Currently serving as a Family Liaison at Child Advocates, Inc. since April 2022, Monay previously worked as a Collaborative Care Case Manager at the Indiana Department of Child Services, focusing on assisting youth aged 16-21 in their transition to adulthood. In earlier roles, Monay served as a Family Case Manager, where responsibilities included assessing allegations of abuse or neglect while collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure child safety and family needs. Monay's career began as a Resident Assistant at Indiana University Residential Programs and Services, where community engagement and support were key responsibilities. Monay holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Indiana University Bloomington and is pursuing a Master of Social Work at Indiana University Indianapolis.

We serve children and youth who have experienced abuse and neglect, and we advocate for racial equity in the child welfare system and in our communities to help build a better future for all children. We fulfill our mission through four key programs: Interrupting Racism for Children, Mediation, Direct Representation, and through the child advocacy expertise of our attorneys.
