Lucy Appelman, LCSW, has a diverse background in social work with experience spanning several organizations since 2015. Currently a Rapid Responder with Child Guidance Center, Inc. since July 2018, Lucy provides mobile crisis responses. Previous roles include a Case Management Intern at Brooks Rehabilitation, where insight into hospital social work was gained, and a Behavioral Health Intern at Sulzbacher Center, assisting adults with special needs in accessing essential resources. Lucy also served as a Family Advocate at Hubbard House, Inc., providing emotional support and case management for children in emergency shelters, and as a Youth Care Specialist at Youth Crisis Center, engaging with at-risk youth. Earlier experience includes advocacy work with children at Peaceful Paths and a position as a Cleaner during college. Lucy holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Florida State University and a Bachelor's degree in Family, Youth, and Community Sciences from the University of Florida.
