Alana Ward

Alana Ward is a seasoned professional in research communications, currently serving as the Research Communications Director at Child Trends since July 2014. Their previous roles include Senior Research Communications Specialist II, Senior Research and Communications Scientist, and Senior Manager of Health Communications and Policy. Prior to Child Trends, Alana was a Senior Program Officer and Co-Director of the National Coalition for Sexual Health at Partnership for Prevention, where responsibilities also included Deputy Project Director and Program Associate. Additional experience includes serving as a Policy Consultant at the Corporation for a Skilled Workforce and a Foreign Policy Intern at the Clinton Foundation. Alana began their career as a Corps Member with Teach for America. Alana holds a Master of Public Policy (MPP) from the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan, a Master of Science in Teaching (MST) in Childhood Education from Pace University, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science and Spanish from the University of Michigan.
