Bonnie Solomon

Research Scientist, Education at Child Trends

Bonnie Solomon is a seasoned research scientist specializing in education, currently employed at Child Trends since August 2017. Bonnie has a rich background in educational program evaluation, having served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where responsibilities included leading evaluations for initiatives aimed at enhancing college access for underrepresented students. Previous roles included managing longitudinal studies on school-based mental health services and contributing to various educational research projects, including those focused on social-emotional learning and immigrant advocacy. Bonnie holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Community & Prevention Research from the University of Illinois Chicago and a B.A. in Economics and Pre-Law from Oberlin College.
