CHILDREN AT RISK
Rebeca Quintanilla serves as a Senior Project Coordinator at CHILDREN AT RISK since October 2022, where responsibilities include preparing major research reports and collaborating with community stakeholders to enhance children's outcomes statewide. Previous experience includes the role of Co-Coordinator at Experience and Professional Development from August 2019 to December 2021, where Rebeca aided students in resume critiques and career exploration. Rebeca also participated as an Intercultural Leadership, Education and Development Scholar at the College of Saint Benedict from August 2018 to December 2021 and interned as a Policy Analyst Intern at Mzuzah, focusing on sustainable development policies and partnerships. Additionally, a role as a College Initiative Intern at YES Prep Public Schools involved managing transcript data for high school students and launching a department Instagram account. Rebeca holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University, earned in 2021.

Our Mission: CHILDREN AT RISK serves as a catalyst for change to improve the quality of life for children through strategic research, public policy analysis, education, collaboration and advocacy. How We Are Different: CHILDREN AT RISK is the only nonprofit organization that is focused solely on the well-being of the whole child, tracks those indicators through its publication Growing Up in Houston, and proactively drives change for children by educating legislators on the importance of improving each of the key indicators. What We Do: Through its research and advocacy programs, CHILDREN AT RISK is a well-known leader in understanding the health, safety and economic indicators impacting children, and educating public policy makers in their importance in improving the lives of children.
