Donya Lucas possesses extensive experience in education and interpretation, currently serving as a Medical Interpreter at Guilford Child Development since July 2014. Previous roles include an ESOL Instructor at Reading Connections, where Donya taught English and coordinated volunteer training, as well as Adult Educator for Family Literacy and ESOL Instructor positions at Central Piedmont Community College. Donya began a professional journey in education as an Instructional Lab Facilitator and Administrative Assistant in the Adult ESOL Department at CPCC. Additionally, as President of Lucas Vending Inc., Donya demonstrated leadership in small business management. Donya holds a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts with a Painting Concentration and a Minor in Women’s Studies from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, alongside a Master of Arts in Peace and Conflict Studies from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
