Wanda Ford has extensive experience in social services and counseling, currently serving as a Career Coach at Guilford Child Development since April 2015 and as a Case Manager at Habitat for Humanity Greensboro since July 2011. In the role at Habitat for Humanity Greensboro, Wanda Ford assists homeowners in maintaining their homes and accessing necessary resources. Previously, Wanda Ford worked as a Social Worker at Guilford Department of Social Services from December 1986 to June 2010, where responsibilities included helping Work First clients secure employment and resources for their families. Wanda Ford earned a Master's degree in Guidance and Counseling from North Carolina A&T State University, having also completed an undergraduate degree at the same institution.

For 55 years, we have been a trusted leader in early childhood education, and training for parents and child care providers in Guilford County. Over the years, our focus has grown to include comprehensive, family-centered programs promote educational excellence, health and well being, community engagement, job readiness and life-skills training. Children & Families First is proud to serve over 6,000 low-income families each year through these programs: Head Start and Early Head Start, Regional Child Care Resources & Referral, Nurse-Family Partnership, Learning Together Family Literacy, The Family Success Center, and the High Point Opportunity Center
