John Wood

John Wood is the current Chief Financial Officer at Children & Families First. John has previous experience working as a relief mental health worker and a child welfare caseworker. In their role as a child welfare caseworker, they were responsible for conducting assessments of child abuse and neglect, engaging with families to address identified safety concerns, and providing reports to the court. John has also testified in court hearings. John Wood is committed to helping families access the services they need to thrive.

John Wood earned their Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Auburn University.

John Wood reports to Kirsten Olson, CEO. They are on a team with Eliza Hirst - Chief Strategy Officer, Brenda Smith - Chief Program Officer for Intervention, and Julius Mullen - Chief Clinical Officer.
