Ellen Morrissey is an experienced professional who has worked in various roles in nonprofit organizations, focusing on building strategic partnerships, revenue generation, and organizational management. Ellen currently serves as Chief Program Officer at Children's Advocacy Centers of Texas, where Ellen provides leadership in guiding the organization's response strategy to eradicate child sexual abuse. Prior to this, Ellen held roles at Southwest Key Program, Any Baby Can Child and Family Resource Center, YouthLaunch, Planned Parenthood of New Mexico, and Albuquerque & Santa Fe Public Schools. Ellen holds a MSSW from The University of Texas at Austin, a BFA +30 hrs from The University of New Mexico, and a BFA from Emerson College.

For over 25 years, Children’s Advocacy Centers of Texas (CACTX) has served as the membership association for the state’s 70 local children’s advocacy centers, ensuring access to safety, justice, and healing for nearly one million Texas children impacted by abuse. As we continue to serve these children, CACTX is casting our vision far upstream: to build a future where all children are free from sexual abuse. Through collaborative partnerships and visionary, evidence-based prevention, awareness, and education strategies, we are working to stop child sexual abuse before it starts.
