Children's Friend and Family Services
Tori Brown serves as the Attachment Vitamin Coordinator at the International Rescue Committee since July 2023, where responsibilities include administering the Attachment Vitamin Program and recruiting participants. Previously, Tori led the Education Access Program at the same organization, providing academic case management to newly arrived families. Additional experience includes roles as a Clinical Social Work Intern at Children's Friend and Family Services, and a Children's Services Advocate at HAWC Healing Abuse Working for Change, where Tori coordinated the Parent Child Trauma Recovery Program. Academic background includes a Master of Social Work from Simmons University and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the same institution, complemented by leadership roles such as Vice President of the Simmons College Reproductive Justice Collective and various positions in educational and supportive capacities.

Providing a voice for children… and supporting the families who care for them. Today’s families face a range of powerful issues- from depression to troubled relationships. These issues can have an enormous impact on everyone in the family – adults and children alike – and can have serious consequences in other aspects of their life such as school, work and in the community. In many cases, the best way to find solutions to these issues is through guidance and counseling. Children’s Friend Mental Health services are provided by 100 staff members and reach over 3,000 children and families each year with clinics located in Salem, Lynn, Gloucester and Lawrence. Our services are specifically designed to address concerns of individuals or the family ranging from relationship and behavioral issues to grief, anxiety, trauma, depression and stress. Children’s Friend is dedicated to making sure that our services remain flexible and family friendly. We accept a variety of insurance plans.
