Amanda Whitlock is the Senior Vice President, Child Welfare & Behavioral Health Services.
Amanda oversees Intact, Extended Family, and Foster Care Contracts statewide. She also oversees the clinical service delivery of counseling to youth and families in foster care, youth and families utilizing Medicaid and Managed Care Medicaid to access office based and school site based behavioral health counseling, and their Residential Program in Evanston. Amanda began providing oversight, management of staff, and developing programming for youth and families starting in 2000. She has worked within the medical, community, nonprofit and private sectors of social services within the Chicago metropolitan area. Amanda’s experiences include direct care with adjudicated youth, youth who are homeless, youth in residential treatment, youth in care, medically hospitalized youth, and youth and adults who present to the emergency room with suicidal, homicidal, and psychotic symptoms. Amanda began her private practice specializing in providing individual and family therapy for children, adolescents and families in 2005.
Amanda obtained her Master of Social Work (MSW) with a concentration in Child and Family Clinical Social Work from Loyola University. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Bachelors in Sociology and an Associate’s Degree in Community Conflict Resolution from North Central College. In addition to being a LCSW, Amanda also maintains her Illinois Type 73 Certification, which allows her to practice within a school setting.
