James Patrick Yost, M.S., serves as the Resident Education Manager at the Children's Home Association of Illinois, where responsibilities include assessing life skills in residents, developing training resources, and managing an on-campus jobs program. Previously, James held the position of Director of Education at Sylvan Learning, overseeing teacher scheduling and student program management, and also worked as an Instructor and STEM Educator. James holds a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership from Franklin University and a Master of Science in College Student Personnel-Higher Education Leadership from Western Illinois University, among other degrees.

For more than 155 years, the Children's Home Association of Illinois (CHAIL) has provided community support services to at-risk youth, the people who love and care for them, and the people who no longer can. The services provided at CHAIL don't just impact the individual child, they create positive ripple effects within their immediate family, neighborhood, community, and world by providing the opportunity to thrive. Our vision is to change the lives of kids who will change the world. We believe every child in our community deserves an opportunity to succeed, despite the insurmountable barriers that have been placed in their way. We offer clinical support services, educational services through our Kiefer School and the Academy for Autism, foster care and residential placement, community support and clinical services, and prevention.
