Michelle Taylor has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Michelle began their career as an English Educator at Lafayette Catholic School System in 2007 and held this role until 2014. From 2014 to 2017, they worked as a Patient Advocate at Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health. In 2017, Michelle joined the Children's Home Association of Illinois and held various positions including Quality and Performance Improvement, Assistant Director, Program Director, and Principal/Director of the Academy for Autism. Currently, they are serving as the Vice President of Education at the Children's Home Association of Illinois.

Michelle Taylor holds a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership from Western Governors University. Michelle also obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary and English Language Arts Education from Indiana State University. Additionally, Michelle has pursued studies in the Administration of Special Education at the University of Phoenix. Michelle obtained their Indiana Professional Educator's License in August 2018.
