CHS has been a leader in providing quality services to families and child care providers, ensuring families have access to affordable and dependable child care. Our programs help families find and pay for child care, and provide free educational materials and workshops on early learning and child development topics, as well as valuable resources and support services to families and child care providers. Founded as an adoption agency in 1891, CHS launched its first child care and development programs in 1974. This year, we are celebrating 50 years of providing child care and development services in California.
