Miranda Alfonso-Williams

Miranda Alfonso-Williams is a board member at CHILDRENS HOME SOCIETY OF NEW JERSEY and was previously with WAM Management Consulting Group. Miranda has also worked with GE Healthcare as their Global Privacy Leader | Regulatory Compliance | Change Management from April 2005 to November 2013. In this role, they were responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining privacy policies and procedures on an enterprise-wide scale. This required their to collaborate with various divisions/departments within GE Healthcare to ensure compliance with privacy and security standards. Miranda has a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of HIPAA regulation and compliance, which has been crucial in their previous positions and will continue to be so in future roles.

Miranda Alfonso-Williams has an MBA in business and marketing from the University of Phoenix, as well as a bachelor's degree in communications from the University at Albany, SUNY. Additionally, they have certifications from (ISC)² in Healthcare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner (HCISSP), as well as certifications from the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals in Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) Europe, Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), and Certified Information Privacy Technologist (CIPT). Finally, they also have a certification from the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals in Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) United States.
