Marie Fraser-Blackmore is an experienced marketing and communications professional currently serving as the Head of Marketing and Communications at Children's Hospice South West since April 2022. Prior to this role, Marie held the same title at North Devon Hospice from February 2011 to April 2022 and worked as a Marketing Manager at Energy Saving Trust from November 2009 to January 2011. Marie began a career in project management at Energy Action Devon from June 2006 to November 2009 and served as a Lecturer of Health at PETROC for a brief period in 2005-2006. Earlier experience includes a role as a Stewardess with Silversea Cruises in 2000. Marie's academic background includes a BSc (Hons) in Business and Health from Bath Spa University and A-levels and a GNVQ in Health and Social Care from Petroc.

Children's Hospice South West
Children’s Hospice South West cares for families with children and young people who have a life-limiting or life-threatening condition, who are unlikely to live to adulthood. At our three beautiful children’s hospices in Devon, Cornwall and Bristol, we support parents, brothers and sisters and the affected child from diagnosis towards bereavement and beyond. We can relieve the burden of caring for a sick child from families and allow them to spend precious time together focusing on just being a family. To face the reality of losing your child means those who desperately need our help face an uncertain and fragile future. We walk alongside them providing respite care, palliative and ultimately end of life care for their child. We need to raise just under £12 million a year to run our three hospices. The money that we receive from the Government is not guaranteed each year, therefore we need to rely entirely on voluntary contributions to safeguard our service into the future.
