Rishi Chavan M.D.

Rishi Chavan MD serves as the Associate Medical Director of the Cell Therapy Laboratory and Medical Director of Bone Marrow Transplant/Cellular Therapy at CHOC Children's since January 2019. In addition, Rishi Chavan holds the position of Health Sciences Associate Clinical Professor at UCI Health since August 2021. Previously, Rishi Chavan directed the Pediatric Bone Marrow/Stem Cell Transplant and Cancer Immunotherapy program at Loma Linda University Medical Center and held the title of Director of Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant at Tulane University School of Medicine. Rishi Chavan's clinical experience includes a role as a Pediatric Hematologist Oncologist at Tulane Medical Center and served as a Clinical Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Baylor College of Medicine’s Texas Children’s Cancer Center and Hematology Service. Academic qualifications include an MD in Pediatric Hematology Oncology from Baylor College of Medicine and an MD in Pediatrics from Tulane University School of Medicine, among other educational credentials in medicine and public health.
