Steven Martel, MD has extensive experience in the healthcare industry. Steven is currently the VP, Chief Health Information Officer at CHOC Children's since January 2023. Steven also served as a Physician Leader in Neonatal & Pediatric Critical Care Transport at UCSF Children's Hospital from June 2002 to January 2004, where they played a key role in recruitment, training, and quality improvement initiatives.

Dr. Steven Martel completed their residency in Pediatrics from the University of California, San Francisco - School of Medicine from 1999 to 2002. Prior to their residency, they earned an A.B. magna cum laude dual major in Mathematics and Biology from Bowdoin College. Dr. Martel obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont. Steven is additionally certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
