Katie O'Connor

Katie O'Connor is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Registered Art Therapist-Board Certified, and Certified Child Life Specialist with extensive experience in therapeutic settings. Since April 2018, Katie has operated Canvas Conversations and Therapeutic Services, LLC as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Concurrently, from April 2014, Katie has been a Creative and Expressive Arts Therapist III and Child Life Assistant at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, focusing on providing developmentally appropriate activities for hospitalized children. Previous roles include Art Therapist at Art Expression, Inc., and various positions at the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic, Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, and Providence Point, among others. Katie holds an M.A. in Art Therapy with Specialization in Counseling from Seton Hill University and a B.A. in Psychology and Art from Washington & Jefferson College.
