Don Barnes

Barnes is a senior strategist with a proven track record of envisioning and delivering strong people programs, building employee engagement, operational efficiency, and talent development structure. With more than 25 years of human resources executive experience, including 15 years as the Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Duke Raleigh Hospital and Clinics, Barnes has helped shape transformative, end-to-end human resources strategies for various organizations.

Barnes earned his master’s degree in healthcare administration from Bellevue University where he also earned a bachelor’s degree in Management of Human Resources. In addition, Barnes has completed various executive leadership courses at Duke University Fuqua School of Business.
