Karrera Joseph, MA, LMFT has had a diverse range of work experience in the mental health field. From 2004 to 2005, they worked as a Social Worker Assistant at MayFair Adult HealthCare Agency, providing support and assistance to clients and documenting case files. From 2006 to 2007, they served as a Mental Health Clinician at Almansor Mental Health, providing group therapy and individual/family therapeutic services. Karrera then worked as a Mental Health Therapist intern at St. Anne's Clinical Services from 2007 to 2008, where they collaborated with other agencies to provide strength-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the needs of young adult mothers and their children. From 2008 to 2011, they were a Clinical Therapist II at Los Angeles Child Guidance Center, followed by a role as an Instructor at Los Angeles Community College District from 2007 to 2012. Most recently, they have been working as a Full Service Partnership (FSP) Program Supervisor III at Children's Institute, Inc. since 2011 and as Karrera C Joseph, MA, LMFT at Family Talk Matters since 2012.
Karrera Joseph, MA, LMFT completed their education at two well-regarded institutions. Karrera began their educational journey in 2000 at UCLA, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Political Science in 2004. Continuing their education, Karrera pursued a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology from 2004 to 2006.
