Lacia Japp

Lacia Japp is an experienced legal professional currently serving as a HT Staff Attorney at the Children's Law Center since December 2022, where representation of low-income families in legal matters related to education, housing, adult guardianship, and SSI is a primary responsibility. Lacia also advocates for children with disabilities at Disability Rights New Jersey since September 2021, focusing on protecting educational rights and informing the juvenile justice court on related impacts. Previous positions include serving as a Judicial Law Clerk for the New Jersey Courts, and various roles in dependency courts and domestic violence litigation. Lacia holds a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Davis, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Criminology from Hofstra University.
