Leah Cherner, LPC, NCC, is a dedicated licensed professional counselor with extensive experience in providing therapeutic services to children and adults. Current roles include serving as a Licensed Professional Counselor and the owner and president of Embracing Change, where responsibilities will commence in January 2024. At Children's Health, Leah has held various positions including Licensed Professional Counselor, Clinical Therapist Associate, and Milieu Therapist since January 2018, focusing on behavior modification and social skills development. Previous roles encompass work as a Crisis Counselor for the Crisis Text Line and a Licensed Psychological Associate at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Leah has also contributed to research on Bipolar Disorders at Johns Hopkins Medicine and supported client care through individual therapy and group facilitation in various clinical settings. Leah earned two bachelor's degrees from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health from The Johns Hopkins University.
