Vice President, National Excellence Strategy at Children's Medical Center of Dallas

Dr. Mary Edmond, PHD, LSSBB has a diverse and extensive work experience. Mary is currently serving as the Vice President of National Excellence Strategy at Children's Health since 2022. Previously, they worked as a Senior Director of Health Care Analytics at Cityblock Health from 2021 to 2022, where they led a team of healthcare analysts and medical economists to identify opportunities for improving value-based care delivery and developed care system innovations.

From 2016 to 2021, Dr. Edmond worked at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. In their role as the Manager of Advanced Analytics & Outcomes, they effectively led a team to support quality improvement and operational reports for a large healthcare system. Mary also served as a Process Improvement Specialist for the Medicine Service Line, where they leveraged data to design analytic summaries and successfully brought together stakeholders for improved data collection.

Before that, they worked as a Health Services Research Consultant at the University of Georgia - Franklin College of Arts and Sciences from 2010 to 2016. In this role, they served as a healthcare consultant for longitudinal behavioral health service delivery studies and collaborated with a research team to analyze complex datasets and design analytical models.

Dr. Edmond also has experience as an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Piedmont College from 2013 to 2016 and as a Project Specialist at Total Technology Ventures, LLC in 2007.

Mary holds a PHD and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

Mary Edmond, PHD, LSSBB has a strong education background. Mary completed their Bachelor's degree in History/Technology/Society at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Following that, they pursued further studies at The University of Georgia, where they earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Sociology. Mary then went on to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Sociology from the same institution. In addition to their academic achievements, Mary Edmond also holds a certification as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
