Mindy Black

Mindy Black is a seasoned communications professional currently serving as a Senior Corporate Communications Specialist for Children's Health since May 2023, where responsibilities include creating and implementing strategic communications campaigns in pediatric health care. Previously, Mindy held the position of Director of Communications and Marketing at Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens, leading marketing efforts for a nonprofit organization committed to community engagement and environmental stewardship. Mindy's earlier roles include Director of Communications at Indian Springs School, Communications Coordinator at UAB School of Medicine, and various editorial positions at Time Inc. and The Huntsville Times. Educationally, Mindy earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
