Alexa Taylor is an experienced clinical researcher and healthcare professional currently serving as a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator at Children's National Hospital since December 2022. Prior to this role, Alexa worked as a Clinical Research Assistant at The Focus Foundation and gained valuable medical experience as a Nursing Assistant at UPMC Pinnacle, where responsibilities included direct patient care and documentation of medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. In addition to clinical roles, Alexa has demonstrated leadership and instructional skills as a Swim Coach for the Heatherfield Hurricanes Swim Team and as a Lifeguard and Swim Lesson Instructor at the Lower Paxton Friendship Community Center. Alexa holds a Bachelor of Science in Physiology and Neurobiology from the University of Maryland, a Master of Science in Physiology & Biophysics from Georgetown University, and is currently pursuing a Master's in Nursing at the University of Maryland, Baltimore.
