Eric Manuel Balmir, M.S., PharmD, CIM has extensive work experience in healthcare settings, primarily in leadership roles. Eric Manuel started their career at New York Methodist Hospital in 1988, where they held progressive leadership positions until 2017. During their time there, they served as Chief of Pharmacy and IRB Chairman, overseeing the Inpatient Pharmacy, Outpatient Oncology Clinic, and Institutional Review Board.

In 2017, Balmir joined Children's National Hospital as Vice President of Clinical Ancillary Services and Chief Pharmacy Officer. Eric Manuel Balmir has a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from the University of Florida, which they received in 2010. During their time at the university, they focused on Pharmacy Administration and Pharmacy Policy and Regulatory Affairs. In addition, Balmir holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Pharmacology from St. John's University.
